Raf, have you thought about taking the rebuild on yourself?

With a good manual (and lots of patients) it can be done without too much of a problem. Especially if you only toasted the clutches.

Raf if you go to the C6, how much will it throw off your current driveline length as far as driveshafts go?

I knew they made it in that body style wasn't sure about the years though. May have been a 92 to 94. Me and Mel was bidding on it at action..

Let me ask you from what I read it would harm the performance on the engine to leave the stock one in. From what I read it would just have a tranny code and it wouldn't even bring on the light. Is that true or not???

Here is some of what I was reading...

I wasn't quite ready to see that go yet...still a ways till I was ready to put the big horse up for sale...like still a couple months and a possible midwest run with trailer in it yet. I have only put it to one minor "test" since my last incident. I am fairly certain its ok...but would hate to be wrong.

However...I could pick up the trans in Hemet and bring it and your rockers to you...If you decide to go that route.
I'm working in Perris currently atleast 4 days a week....and some weeks 6 days. I drive that anyway so just may as well save some gas money and time.
either case give me a call...about lunch time any day. hardly on the 'puter these days due to the longer hours at work. same cell # as before-> looks like I'm keeping that stupid thing till atleast april..

Looks like im going to stick a c-6 in there Tom.. At first i just wanted a quick fix and i figured the tranny i sold you would be it.. Now im all hyped up about slapping a c-6 in there.. I even pulled the driveshafts and tcase tonight and im draining the trans as i type.. i figure ill drop the trans tomorrow... hold on to the e4od, i'd hate to buy that thing back and then yours take a dump before you sell it..

Try to pay attention
1994-95 had the option for Mass Air EFI system (go look it up)
Those trucks did not have the option for manual transmission.
Other trucks could have Speed Density EFI system with a manual.

Ford never produced a 1994-95 manual trans MAF truck.

I need a little advance warning...the tranny is still in the truck. I have to talk to the guy and make sure he's around. He has a forklift and isn't worried about keeping it pretty, so it'll be pretty easy to get the drivetrain out. He travels a lot, though, so I need to work on the timing.
