Our club usually does that run every year!! Its an awesome event, This month we were suposed to be headed to Iron Range in Gilbert, MN but found out days before leaving on the trip the park closes for gun deer hunting season from Nov 1st-21st so it completely ruled out going there. We all discussed it and since we already had off for vacation we're like let's go to Badlands instead! I read on Badlands website that there is some sort of guided trail ride on the 7th to a new section called "Mission Impossible" so we'l probably check that out.

its not a new section its been open for a while. used to be on Troys personal property, appointment only ride. we did it three or so years ago. awesome ride. awesome rocks. i don't know how they do it now but it used to be pre register plenty in advance, and they limited the size of the group in, and there were minimum requirements for the vehicals. They were some awesome trails though. hopefully you got in and can post up some pics

The guided trail ride was a no go because he had a bunch of buggy's and things and didn't think my rig with 38's and one locker would be adequate with the group that was going. here's some pics of what I got uploaded with the hotel's super slow internet.

i know it kinda sucks now, but they have those requirements for a reason. When we went there was another group of wheelers on 35s and single lockers and they didnt cover half that place. they missed all the good stuff because they werent capable enough and couldnt climb the entrances to some of the harder stuff. so id say be thankfull they didnt have ya pay that high price to get in just to find out you would have to stick to the easy trails.

looks like a good time so far... lots of people down there?

Badlands was a GREAT time yet again. We did pretty much every trail over our 2 days there and wheeled all day friday with no breakage. Then saturday we played in the quarry a bit more and had some carnage. Had to live up to our club's name right? LOL. Jim's yellow J-10 broke a rear axle shaft, but since its a FF we were able to keep wheelin. Right as we were about to leave he also broke a front lock-out on the same side and some creative winching had to be done. My truck held up well yet again. I have a check engine light to figure out but other than that its good to go. The P/S upgrades I did worked well aside from the return hose coming out of the holder i had it in and it got hit by the fan once. No big deal, a little electrical tape and 2 zip-ties and it's all better. Paul's XJ also did well and the only problems he encountered was finding out that he needs to go around under the jeep and lock-tite some bolts. Had a radius arm mount bolt come loose, Luckily Jim (aka) NAPA on wheels had a nut to get it fixed right away, then on saturday a rear shock mount nut came off and his Jeep had done the mono-shock conversion all on it's own. I hear that his Jeep also bent the rear leaf springs too. All in all another GREAT trip at Badlands in Attica !!!!

Here's some videos. They take forever to download so make sure you have time

Did you guys do all of the trails? There was on that I don't think I would have taken a fullsize down, without a bunch of body damage. I left my Bronco at home and took my Jeep Grand Cherokee on 33's and had a blast! I will go back next year I hope.

Yeah we did every trail there. Orange trail used to be much worse years back for getting a full-size down but now it doesn't cause much body damage just tree branch scratches.

Well maybe I will take my fullsize once and see what happens? I blew a tire (big rebar went into the sidewall) and I must have landed my rear driveshaft on a rock or something it was pretty twisted from my grand cherokee last trip.

I see you guys in Silver Lake every year! That green explorer and bronco are insane, i.e. they like to JUMP a whole bunch!

HMM. Well I know the Green Explorer isn't because no one in the club has ever had an explorer and I'm thinking the one you're talking about is the one from the 05 Four Wheeler magazine's "Real club challenge" and for the Bronco we have one 78-79 bronco in the club that has never even been to the dunes and a friend of one member has an 80-86 fullsize painted bright orange. They may say Damage INC on the trucks but it's probably just not the same club. We are based out of Milwaukee, WI. Check us out at www.DamageINC4x4club.com and register on our forum at http://www.damageinc4x4club.com/phpBB/ to see all of our upcoming outings. We will be doing a winter run sometime in Jan-Feb up to northern WI and then a BIG trip to MO to check out Flat Nasty off road park in May. Can't wait!!

That sounds awesome but I'm afraid april will be too short of a deadline to get all of our trucks ready. I have some engine work and transfercase issues to deal with that will take me the better part of the winter as im on a limited budget. Has anyone ever been to Flat Nasty before? What kinds of trails are there. I've looked through the pics but it's hard to tell if rigs like ours are best suited for the park. I DEFINITELY plan on building rock sliders before i go there.
