My Half Door Build....

Since I have a full vehicle for my SAS donor, I have been having lots of fun destructing the truck. I decided that I wanted to make some half doors for my Bronco. I decided to go with the Triplesix style of door.

I started with these doors....

And I am currently at this stage....

Next I'm going to weld them up, Have them sandblasted then send them to paint......

Whaddaya thunk?

Looks ghey. These aren't half doors, they're 1/4 doors. I'm actually picking up some doors for a set too. Nice little low-buck winter project. Keep up the good work.

I like them. Looks gay with a non stock handle on them.

I completely disagree, i think they would look better if the stock latch was cut out, and the holes covered up/filled. You dont need the door handle to make the door open, you just use a straight rod off the pivot point for the inner handle, and the door pops right open.

Hey cool.

I did decide to change the design and take out the door handle.

Did a little damage to one.

How did you close up that window gap? I'm not a fan of chopping the door so you see weather stripping, but I never found a good looking half door with the uppers still in tack. Zilla's looks like sex. Triplesix's looks good too, how'd you wire up those speakers?

I used strips from an old bronco bed and welded them in. it was very time consuming but worth it..

Why are half of the pics already red x's?This thread is only a few weeks old.I became a paying member so I could post pics easily and thought it also would allow me to see all of the pics.

People tell you to search and I do and then I find what I am looking for except the pics are missing. What's the point?
