A little help from locals

Well I am afraid my trans. is gonna need rebuilt and am curious what the going rate is for a complete rebuild and install(don't have a shop of my own to do it in.). The trans is the AOD out of an 1990 EB edition. Any info will be appreciated.

about 45 min. north.

sorry 'bout the rebuild need. don't know any local costs or good sources right off hand, but I'd suggest making more than a few phone calls before jumping into a setup with any one of them. I got a reman from motorworks years back and it was screamin' but it was also a shady, backdoor deal with the owners son... so, what would I know about a legit deal? nothing.

I was quoted $650 for an AOD rebuild from a locall Trans guy. I have had him do another trans and he did an excelent job. If you are looking to go this route I highly recomend this shop.

Damn that is an awesome price. Heck it would be worth shipping it down there at that price. Thanks for the info.

Call Louie's trans here in Spokane. He rebuilt my E4OD at the cost of $2,600. I'm sure it would be cheaper for an AOD though.

$650.00?????? An AOD is not a E4OD. $2500.00 average.

1990 was the first year of the computer controlled E4OD in the 5.8L Full Size Bronco. My mistake as I did not see that he had a 5.0L.
