E-mail me thru my profile here or on SMN (where the pics are). Joe doesn't want me discussing my parts for sale on FSB any more.
My Policies:
0) I don't post prices for several reasons: a) they're nobody's business except yours & mine;
b) posts can stay on FSB for years, but prices can change, and I don't want to go back & edit a few thousand posts every few months;
c) I only use FSB as a place to MEET people who are interested in Broncos, but it's not a marketplace. Business is private, so I prefer to deal privately.
1) I sell to the person whose payment ARRIVES first. I won't turn down a sale based on the expectation of someone else completing it, so if you really want something, don't wait. Someone else probably wants it, too, and I want to sell it. If you want me to hold something, you can buy it & I'll store it free for up to a year. Within that time, you have to either come get it, or arrange for shipping. If not, you forfeit both the part & the money. I don't do refunds due to buyer's remorse - if I wanted the part, I wouldn't be selling it. So if you don't want it, don't buy it.
2) Shipping, shipping insurance, & tracking are your choice AND responsibility - I'm just doing the legwork for you. Almost
every major carrier in the world comes to Memphis, so
take your pick. If at all possible, I'll set it up so all the tracking info will be e-mailed directly to you from the carrier. If something is damaged but insured, that's between you & the carrier. If they insist on sending a settlement check to me because I brought your package to them, the check will be forwarded to you unopened - it's none of my business how much you get for your property that you paid to ship & insure. I'll help you as much as I can, but ultimately, it's between you & them.
3) I don't ship my property - it has to be sold first, which means no COD. If you want it fast, set up a
free PayPal account & link it to your bank account (they actually pay you a few cents to do that).
4) The only forms of payment I accept are
cash (only if you're picking it up here - I'd rather you NOT mail cash),
money order in US$ ($0.46 @ Wal-Mart), or
PayPal (by bank transfer, balance transfer, or e-check) in US$.
No checks of ANY kind, including cashier's or company. No PayPal funded by
credit card - read the Fees page on PayPal to learn why I'll never accept that. Foreign money orders will have to clear before I ship.
5) I don't charge for handling - you pay only the shipping you choose. The exception is for large &/or delicate items that require a crate or special box, in which case you pay for MATERIALS only. I'll build it free. A
dual exhaust from a Crown Vic took ~$20 in materials; a
complete 5.8L engine took ~$40; the
sliding side windows took ~$40; a D44IFS chunk took $16 (a Wal-Mart ice chest); a
complete Bronco tailgate took ~$30.
6) If you want a shipping estimate, TELL ME YOUR
LOCATION. Your ZIP in the US; country name & postal code elsewhere. My shipping ZIP is 38135.
7) Tell me
who you are - most people's e-mail name doesn't match their FSB username, & sometimes not even their real name. Plus, I have a hard time remembering names anyway, so put something in your e-mail to let me know whom I'm dealing with. If you use several e-mail addresses, that messes with my head, too. I organize stuff by e-mail, so I need to put them together or I'll think there are 2 people who want the same part.
8) Please set your e-mail client to
include the original e-mail in the reply. I get a lot of e-mails about a lot of topics, so I need to see
the whole conversation to remember what I told you, or even what we were talking about. And make sure your e-mail registered with FSB is current.
That's the one I reply to. I reply to virtually every e-mail I get, so if you don't get one, check your address here.
9) The parts I sell are
not repackaged brand-new Taiwanese knock-offs, so don't expect a shiny clean part. Most are just decent used junkyard parts that looked like they were still good, and they're things that I know people have been looking for, so when I see them, and I can haggle up a good price on them, I buy them & store them in my garage or my yard. I only clean them enough to make sure that they still work, and so they don't deteriorate. I don't refurbish/remanufacture/restore or even wash them USUALLY. Nor do I check things like bulbs & fuses (unless the part IS a bulb or fuse), so plan on washing the stuff yourself, and replacing normal wear components that might have been damaged in a collision. Think of it as if you were buying from your local junkyard, but you don't have to get your feet muddy.
10) If you want me to find a part for you that not many people have asked me for (meaning you're probably the only person who wants one), I require a deposit BY PAYPAL up front to make sure I don't end up with MORE junk. (My g/f wants to put her car back in the garage one day.) You give me some basic criteria for the condition that you're looking for, and a daytime phone number. We take a guess at the cost of a part in that condition (or better) plus shipping, and that's the deposit. If YOU find one before I do, I refund 100% (that's why I'll only do this with PP). If I find one that's borderline, I'll call you & describe it so you can decide. After I buy it, we settle up on the ACTUAL price & shipping. You might get some money back, or we might have guessed right, or you might have to send a little more. If you back out of the deal after I've spent some of your money, you only get the balance back - you forfeit the part & the money I spent for you. (In other words: I know you won't back out.

11) Take a minute to look thru my Trader Rating (linked under my avatar). These policies have worked well for a few years, and so far, everyone has been satisfied. [knock wood] Help out other FSBers by providing feedback every time for everyone you deal with. When I notice new feedback, it reminds me to post some for you, and you can see that I always do.
